Senior Authorised Person (SAP) - 66kV Offshore Wind
Location: Offshore (North Sea)
Mobilisation: Glasgow
Rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off (potential flexibility)
Contract: 12 Months

We're hiring a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) - 66kV Offshore Wind for one of our clients, supporting commissioning activities on one of the world's most significant offshore wind developments in the North Sea.
This is a high-impact offshore opportunity where you'll be at the heart of energising critical HV systems, ensuring operations are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Ensure safe systems of work are in place, promoting a strong health and safety culture
  • Act as SAP on site, carrying out switching operations and issuing safety documentation
  • Produce and review switching schedules
  • Provide isolations and permits for HV systems
  • Support testing and commissioning of HV/LV electrical systems
  • Conduct and review risk assessments (RAMS) and audits
  • Work in line with electrical safety rules and offshore procedures
  • Provide supervision where required across offshore activities
  • Support commissioning walkdowns and system verification
  • Collaborate with the Lead SAP and wider team to drive project delivery and quality standards
Key Requirements:
  • Current Senior Authorised Person (SAP) authorisation at 66kV (33kV candidates with strong multi-feed experience also considered)
  • Proven experience in offshore wind or HV transmission projects
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety rules (WTSR / Model Distribution Safety Rules)
  • Experience with HV switching, isolations, and commissioning activities
  • Familiarity with offshore assets such as WTGs, substations, and inter-array cables
  • Valid GWO certifications (Sea Survival, First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Working at Heights)
  • Offshore medical certificate (including Chester Step)
  • HUET certification
  • Relevant electrical qualification (ONC/HNC or equivalent preferred)
Working alongside the Lead SAP and a skilled commissioning team, you'll contribute across key assets including wind turbine generators (WTGs), offshore substations, and inter-array systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced offshore HV professional to contribute to a flagship renewables project.
