Location: Cologne, Germany (2 days onsite per week; hybrid working model)
Contract Duration: Until 31/12/2025
Pay Rate: €50-€60 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Adobe Backend Developer to join our team on a long-term contract basis. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining backend services supporting Adobe solutions and integrations.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a modern tech stack and contribute to impactful digital projects for a leading client. This role requires you to be onsite in Cologne for 2 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining days.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs integrating with Adobe platforms and other enterprise systems.
  • Develop scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Implement cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), utilizing services such as Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Postgres.
  • Design and expose RESTful APIs via Apigee for secure and efficient integrations.
  • Collaborate with frontend teams, architects, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and performance.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and security guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIs.
  • Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage and Postgres
  • Experience with API management solutions, preferably Apigee.
  • Solid knowledge of relational databases, especially Postgres.
  • Fluent English communication skills (spoken and written) are essential. German language skills are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience working in agile development teams is a plus.
