Business Development Manager – Paris
My client is a fast-growing software company who develop certified, ultra-secure embedded software solutions. We are currently seeking a business development manager to join their team in Paris.
The role
As a Business Developer, your mission is to identify, qualify, and convert business opportunities across strategic verticals (A&D, automotive, industrials, cloud, cryptography, and more).
You’ll be on the front line of growth, working closely with prospects, customers, and internal tech teams to position our products and services as the security backbone of their platforms.
You will report directly to the Head of Sales and work hand-in-hand with Field Application Engineers, Product Managers, and Executives.
Main Responsibilities:
- Identify and qualify leads in targeted sectors (system integrators, cloud service providers, government agencies, defence companies)
- Understand client needs and pain points and shape winning proposals
- Build and manage a strong pipeline from first contact to contract signature
- Contribute to product roadmap and marketing collateral
- Respond to RFPs / RFIs and help structure proposals
- Build trusted relationships with our tech and product teams
- Contribute to go-to-market strategy and positioning for products and services
- Represent the company at key trade shows and industry events when needed
Your Profile
We’re looking for a proactive, technically strong, and customer-focused engineer with a hands-on mindset and the ability to manage technical conversations at all levels.
- 3+ years of experience in business development in similar context: Cloud cybersecurity, or secure hardware platforms (HSM, TEE, etc.);
- Delivered results for high-growth companies or startups;
- Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles and complex technical environments;
- Ability to understand and explain technical concepts to both business and technical audiences;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills; Fluent English required (French is a plus)
- A strong interest in Cloud, embedded systems, cybersecurity, and trusted computing is a must
Bonus points:
- Background in engineering or cybersecurity (educational or professional)
- Previous experience working with Cloud companies, OEMs, defence integrators
- Familiarity with Common Criteria, IoT security standards, or embedded certification frameworks
- Experience selling high-assurance or certification-driven products
