Distribution Manager

Utrecht, Hybrid

Our client is a global provider of reliable networking equipment and accessories, looking for a Distribution Account Manager to join their team in Utrecht.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing distributors to foster long-term partnerships and drive mutual growth.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to distributors to enhance their sales capabilities and solution knowledge.
  • Collaborate with distributors to develop and execute joint marketing plans and promotions to increase brand awareness and product adoption.
  • Collaborate with distributors to generate customer and project leads and facilitate the conversion of these leads to a stage where they can be handed over to internal teams.
  • Facilitate introductions between key accounts and distributors to drive sales opportunities.
  • Monitor distributor performance, set targets, and provide guidance to improve sales effectiveness.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and adjust distribution strategies accordingly.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product management, to ensure alignment and maximize overall business performance.
  • Travel as required to meet with distributors, attend industry events, and participate in trade shows to promote our products and services.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and distribution, preferably within the IT/telecommunications sector.
  • Proven success in managing distributor networks and achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective distribution strategies that drive business growth.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with commercial networking products including switches, access points, and enterprise routers.
  • Knowledge of channel sales strategies and tactics.
  • Familiarity with market dynamics in the IT/telecom industry.
  • Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Associate) is desirable.
