12-month contract | Hybrid | Slough or Newport (one role in each location)
We are supporting a large organisation in the energy and infrastructure sector that is delivering major capital investment programmes focused on sustainable and distributed energy solutions. They are seeking an experienced NEC Project Manager to join their construction delivery team and lead some of the largest and most complex projects in the portfolio .
This is a senior, hands-on delivery role with responsibility for driving projects from early planning through construction and into successful handover, ensuring safety, quality, cost and programme objectives are met.
The role
As an NEC Project Manager, you will take full accountability for the delivery of large-scale capital projects, working closely with senior stakeholders, contractors and internal teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of major construction and infrastructure projects , ensuring time, cost, quality and safety targets are achieved
- Acting as the senior point of contact for project delivery, engaging with directors, clients, contractors and internal stakeholders
- Managing projects under NEC3 / NEC4 contracts , including change control, commercial management and performance monitoring
- Developing and implementing delivery and construction strategies to reduce risk and maximise value
- Championing a strong Safety, Health, Environment & Wellbeing (SHEW) culture across all project activities and supply chain partners
- Supporting, mentoring and guiding Project Managers within the wider delivery team
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A strong track record delivering major capital projects (£50m+) within energy, utilities or infrastructure environments
- Proven experience managing NEC contracts (NEC3 / NEC4) and driving commercial, cost and performance outcomes
- Solid knowledge of CDM regulations and safety management within construction environments
- Recognised project management qualifications (PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent)
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across matrix organisations
- Contract length: 12 months

- On-site requirement: Minimum 2 days per week (Slough or Newport)
