Oracle Fusion Financials Functional Lead (R2R)
Location: Toronto, Canada
Type: 6-12 month contract (possible extension)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Financials Functional Lead with a strong background in architecting and overseeing the implementation of Oracle Fusion Financials Cloud, specifically within the Record to Report (R2R) process area. This includes deep expertise in General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and related reporting functionalities. As the R2R solution owner, you will partner closely with solution architects, technology architects, and the PMO team to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction. Your ability to translate business needs into robust Oracle Fusion solutions and lead cross-functional teams will be critical to your success.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end functional solution for Oracle Fusion Financials Cloud (R2R), including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and reporting.
  • Architect the to-be solution for the client based on a thorough understanding of their business requirements, current processes, and objectives, aiming to exceed expectations.
  • Actively engage and partner with the Solution Architect, Technology Architect, and PMO team to meet project deadlines and commitments.
  • Design and document business processes and systems, guiding the functional and technical teams throughout the solution development lifecycle.
  • Provide expert guidance and support on critical project needs related to the Oracle Fusion Financials (R2R) implementation.
  • Prepare detailed design and configuration documents.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to implement seamless and integrated financial processes.
  • Take ownership of the solution and outcomes related to the implementation of integrated Oracle Fusion R2R modules (General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and integrated products).
  • Participate actively in requirement gathering sessions, analyze business requirements, and align them with best-practice functional solutions within Oracle Fusion.
  • Interact directly with client teams to understand their business requirements and current processes to design an optimized future-state solution.
  • Analyze, design, and configure Oracle Fusion applications to meet best-practice business needs through process orchestration, demonstrations, and solution presentations during implementation.
  • Execute day-to-day activities of Oracle ERP Cloud engagements, including process design, leading key configuration workshops, identifying gaps, defining RICEW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Workflows), supporting testing, cutover/go-live activities, and providing post-production support for the relevant applications.
  • Define new business processes and refine existing ones within the Oracle Fusion Financials context.
  • Exercise independent discretion and judgment in managing daily tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Lead the Functional process area (R2R) and coordinate with onsite/offshore functional and technical teams for all project deliverables across all implementation phases.
  • Perform design validation and proactively identify areas for solution improvement.
  • Lead data conversion efforts, including mapping data from legacy systems to Oracle Cloud ERP applications.
  • Configure Oracle Cloud Applications to meet specific client requirements and thoroughly document all application setups.
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyze, understand, troubleshoot, and effectively communicate functional details to end-users and management.
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to monitor and track the progress of workstreams, ensuring a successful go-live.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience architecting solutions and overseeing the implementation of Oracle Fusion Financials Cloud (Record to Report).
  • Deep functional knowledge of Oracle Cloud General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and related reporting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and Record to Report processes.
  • Experience leading functional process areas and coordinating with technical teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze business requirements and design effective Oracle Fusion solutions.
  • Experience with system configuration, testing, and deployment phases of Oracle ERP implementations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
