We are seeking an experienced Procurement & Commercial Lead to oversee the procurement and commercial workstream of a major IT change programme within the energy sector.
This is a critical role leading a team of procurement and commercial professionals, managing a complex supplier ecosystem to ensure the programme is delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement and commercial contracting strategies and governance frameworks to effectively manage suppliers.
- Lead the commercial engagement with up to 10 key supply chain partners.
- Drive supplier relationship management (SRM) activities, including supplier scorecards and performance reviews.
- Ensure value for money is achieved across all supplier engagements.
- Support the design and delivery of a procurement strategy for future programmes.
- Proven experience leading procurement activity within large-scale IT change programmes.
- A self-starter with strong organisational skills and the ability to anticipate challenges.
- Skilled in designing and deploying contracting approaches in complex, interdependent environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and supplier relationship management experience.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute procurement strategies.
- Location: Ideally Reading, but flexible for the right candidate.
- Duration: 6 months.
- Day Rate: £550–£650 per day (Inside IR35)
