Program Specialist, Software Quality (Autonomous Vehicles)
Location: Bay Area, CA
 
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Program Specialist to join our Software Quality (SWQ) program, supporting a leading company in the autonomous vehicle (AV) industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in improving the quality, workflows, and tools for our client's cutting-edge AV software. You will be responsible for ensuring technical policies are up-to-date, performing quality control, and driving program improvements through data analysis and automation.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Policy & Workflow Management: Define, document, and update technical policies and workflows to ensure the highest software quality standards.
  • Quality Control: Perform rigorous quality control checks and provide technical support to identify and resolve issues, including the analysis of driving event bugs.
  • Data Analysis & Improvement: Analyze program data to identify trends, recommend process improvements, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Automation & Innovation: Actively contribute to initiatives focused on automation and the implementation of machine learning-based solutions to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and provide clear, concise communication regarding program status and quality metrics.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field OR 4+ years of equivalent practical experience in AV Software Quality, Technical Operations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical operations, workflow design, or vendor management.
  • Familiarity with the autonomous vehicle domain and a foundational understanding of common software bugs and driving events.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to proprietary software and tools.
Preferred:
  • Basic proficiency in SQL and data analysis.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic technology environment.
