Location: Hybrid - Home-based with site visits in the Hornsea area
Rate: Up to £500 per day PAYE Umbrella (£62.50 per hour)
Hours: Full time
Security Clearance: BPSS required
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Project Mechanical Engineer to support the design, fabrication and installation of complex mechanical systems. You will take responsibility for ensuring compliance with pipework and pressure equipment safety regulations while managing contractors to deliver high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee mechanical engineering projects from design through to fabrication and installation.
- Ensure all work meets pipework and pressure equipment safety regulations.
- Manage contractors, issue tasks, and review/approve completed work.
- Provide technical guidance and oversee quality standards across all project phases.
- Strong background in mechanical engineering projects involving pipework and pressure equipment.
- Proven experience managing contractors and ensuring adherence to safety and technical standards.
- Ability to review, approve and sign off contractor work.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
