Job Opportunity: QA / Test Engineer Tester - Financial Services
Location: Heerlen or Amsterdam (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)
Contract Length: 6 months
Our client, a leading financial services business is seeking an experienced QA / Test Engineer on a 6-month assignment.
This is a hands-on role in a dynamic DevOps environment, requiring strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and a drive to continuously improve testing practices.
Responsibilities

Manage assigned testing tasks to ensure product quality and adherence to requirements

Design, execute, and maintain test plans, scripts, and reports

Identify, log, and track defects to resolution

Build and maintain in-depth knowledge of systems under test

Collaborate with DevOps teams and stakeholders to provide status updates and resolve issues

Define and implement metrics to track test effectiveness

Review and improve current testing processes and automation frameworks
Requirements

3+ years of experience in functional testing, ideally within finance or asset management

Strong data testing and analysis skills (e.g., data ingestion, normalization)

Full lifecycle testing expertise (system, integration, UAT, regression)

Familiarity with automated test strategies (data-driven, keyword-driven, hybrid frameworks)

Hands-on experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines

Automation testing experience in a cloud environment (preferably Azure)

Ability to work under pressure and drive improvements in QA practices
