Job Opportunity: QA / Test Engineer Tester - Financial Services
Location: Heerlen or Amsterdam (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)
Contract Length: 6 months

Our client, a leading financial services business is seeking an experienced QA / Test Engineer on a 6-month assignment.

This is a hands-on role in a dynamic DevOps environment, requiring strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and a drive to continuously improve testing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned testing tasks to ensure product quality and adherence to requirements

  • Design, execute, and maintain test plans, scripts, and reports

  • Identify, log, and track defects to resolution

  • Build and maintain in-depth knowledge of systems under test

  • Collaborate with DevOps teams and stakeholders to provide status updates and resolve issues

  • Define and implement metrics to track test effectiveness

  • Review and improve current testing processes and automation frameworks

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in functional testing, ideally within finance or asset management

  • Strong data testing and analysis skills (e.g., data ingestion, normalization)

  • Full lifecycle testing expertise (system, integration, UAT, regression)

  • Familiarity with automated test strategies (data-driven, keyword-driven, hybrid frameworks)

  • Hands-on experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines

  • Automation testing experience in a cloud environment (preferably Azure)

  • Strong communicator and team player with a proactive mindset

  • Ability to work under pressure and drive improvements in QA practices
