A global leader in digital transformation is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect to support an enterprise Energy & Utilities client in Charlotte, NC. This is a strategic, client-facing role that blends deep technical acumen with business advisory capabilities to shape next-gen IT solutions and accelerate client innovation.
About the Role
As a trusted advisor, you will engage with Fortune 500 clients to deliver high-impact solutions across AI, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, application modernization, and enterprise architecture. You’ll work cross-functionally with internal technical experts, OEM partners, and sales teams to develop strategic roadmaps and drive meaningful outcomes for clients in a fast-evolving sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a client-facing architect and technical advisor, driving business value through innovative IT strategies
- Lead technical conversations and develop tailored solution architectures across infrastructure, cyber, cloud, and AI domains
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with IT, security, and line-of-business executives
- Drive customer engagement through lab environments, workshops, and proof-of-concepts
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and technology partners to execute account strategies and win large-scale opportunities
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends, cloud-native architectures, containerization, automation, and end-user experience technologies
- Coordinate executive briefings and solution planning across complex sales cycles
Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience in enterprise technology architecture or consulting, preferably at an integrator, OEM, or within the Energy & Utilities sector
- Strong technical depth in at least two domains such as AI, cloud, security, networking, or infrastructure
- Experience leading architecture efforts within Fortune 500 environments
- Familiarity with application modernization, containers, DevOps, and service management technologies
- Industry certifications such as CCIE, CISSP, AWS/Azure/GCP, TOGAF, or similar
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to lead technical workshops and strategic discussions
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree preferred
