Overview: We are hiring an experienced SAP Basis Consultant to support a leading Utilities client in Munich. This is a strategic advisory role focused on optimising SAP environments, supporting system upgrades and migrations, and guiding the adoption of new technologies.
The successful candidate will bring deep SAP Basis expertise, strong consulting skills, and a proactive mindset to help ensure performance, security, and scalability across complex SAP landscapes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess existing SAP system landscapes and recommend optimization strategies
- Provide expert input on system upgrades, migrations, and cloud transformation initiatives
- Identify and resolve system performance issues and bottlenecks
- Advise on SAP Basis best practices, architecture, and governance
- Ensure adherence to IT compliance and security policies
- Collaborate closely with internal IT teams and project stakeholders
- 10+ years of SAP Basis consulting and administration experience
- Proven track record in SAP upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure planning
- Strong system tuning and performance optimization capabilities
- Hands-on knowledge of SAP BTP, SAP Solution Manager, and monitoring tools
- Solid understanding of cloud integration and SAP architecture principles
- Fluent in English, with minimum B1-level German proficiency
- Willingness to work on-site in Munich and travel to Frankfurt up to 3 days/week
- Excellent communication and advisory skills
- Quick comprehension and analytical thinking
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management
