Location: Reading (Forbury)
Rate: Up to £500 per day (PAYE or Umbrella)
Hours: 40 per week

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to lead the engineering and design of private networks and associated electrical infrastructure. You will support the development and delivery of major electrical distribution projects, ensuring high standards of design, compliance and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering design of private networks and related electrical infrastructure.
- Plan, design and provide technical expertise for complex electrical construction works on large HV and EHV networks and associated plant and equipment.
- Specify design, installation and commissioning procedures.
- Liaise with Transmission and/or Distribution operators to develop proposed schemes and provide technical leadership on complex engineering deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to produce detailed designs and functional specifications, ensuring robust and contractually effective solutions.
- Support the tendering and delivery phases to ensure design requirements are met.
- Proven experience delivering engineering and design on large-scale HV and EHV network projects (including 132kV).
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, industry standards and design practices.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical advice and detailed specifications for electrical network infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
