About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect specializing in Point of Sale (POS) to join our client’s team based in Nottingham. The successful candidate will play a key role in defining the future of the retail POS architecture, advising on IT best practices, and bringing a comprehensive understanding of the retail and POS landscape.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and define the future retail POS architecture in line with the client’s business requirements.

Act as a subject matter expert on IT architecture and POS solutions, advising on best practices and innovative approaches.

Maintain a broad and up-to-date understanding of the retail and POS landscape, leveraging industry knowledge to recommend enhancements and efficiencies.

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure architectural alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.

Provide guidance on integration and system upgrades as necessary.

Support ongoing POS improvements and ensure architecture scalability.
Skills & Experience:

Proven experience as a Solution Architect with a specialization in Point of Sale (POS) systems.

Strong understanding of the retail sector, with practical experience in designing and implementing POS architectures.

Expertise in advising on IT architecture with a focus on POS solutions.

Ability to bring industry best practices and innovative solutions to the project.

Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and technical teams.

Flexible approach to hybrid working, with the ability to spend 2-3 days a week on-site in Nottingham.
