Oracle Cloud Project Accounting (PPA, PPM), Techno-Functional Consultant

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Oracle Cloud Project Accounting professional to join our client’s team. This role can be structured as either a Functional Consultant or a Techno/Functional Consultant, depending on the candidate's experience and our specific project needs. The successful candidate will be instrumental in implementing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing our Oracle Cloud Project Portfolio Management (PPM) module, with a primary focus on Project Accounting.
Whether your strength lies in deeply understanding and configuring business processes (Functional) or in combining that functional expertise with technical skills for development and integration (Techno/Functional), you will play a critical role in ensuring our project accounting processes are efficient, accurate, and aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Functional Responsibilities (Applicable to both Functional and Techno/Functional):
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to Oracle Cloud Project Accounting.
- Configure and maintain the Oracle Cloud Project Accounting module, including:
- Project and task setup
- Cost collection and distribution
- Revenue recognition methods and rules
- Project billing
- Project budgeting and forecasting
- Cross-charging and intercompany billing
- Project reporting and analytics
- Design and implement business processes within the Oracle Cloud Project Accounting framework.
- Develop functional design specifications for configurations, enhancements, and reports.
- Conduct system testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Provide training and support to end-users on Oracle Cloud Project Accounting functionalities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues related to Project Accounting.
- Assist with data migration activities for Project Accounting data.
- Stay updated with new features and functionalities in Oracle Cloud PPM.
- Techno/Functional Responsibilities (Applicable to Techno/Functional role, and a strong plus for Functional candidates):
- Develop technical design specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions (RICE objects).
- Write and execute SQL queries for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and maintain reports using Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP), and Financial Reporting Studio (FRS).
- Utilize data loading tools such as File-Based Data Import (FBDI) and ADF Desktop Integration (ADFDI).
- Work with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or other integration tools to design, build, and maintain integrations between Oracle Cloud Project Accounting and other systems.
- Collaborate with technical developers on the ?? development of RICE objects and integrations.
- Perform technical troubleshooting and debugging.
- Assist with the application of patches and upgrades, assessing their impact on existing configurations and customizations.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Project Accounting or, preferably, Oracle Cloud Project Accounting/PPM.
- In-depth understanding of project accounting principles and processes.
- Strong working knowledge of Oracle Project Portfolio Accounting (PPA) concepts, principles, and best practices.
- Experience in implementing and/or supporting Oracle Cloud ERP, specifically the PPM module.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
